hotel dreams
5/29/12 08:41 amwe were going to a conference in a big hotel-- i have a lot of dreams about hotels-- and we had to go to a terminal to get there inside the hotel like a subway. and then the terminal was full of these cramped, uncomfortable flying bathtub things that would zoom you to your room, but my room wasn't finished yet, so i had to wait forever in the lobby, which was also umcomfortable, and eventually i gave up and just started wandering the halls of the hotel, looking at all the rooms that were bigger than mine
i dream a lot about hotels and mansions and large places with lots of rooms. i looked it up, and dream dictionaries say hotels represent being taken care of, and mansions represent social pressure. i don't agree, at least in my case. i think for me, huge fortresses with lots of rooms represent what i want-- a place to live that is big and versatile, either symbolically or literally. i also really like being in big impressive structures. i like that there are lots of rooms. i feel safe in those places.
the bathtub represented how uncomfortable my bed was, because i woke up with a backache.
